I have been using my double matrix for a day or so.
One thing that upsets me is the anti static arm. I just took a pristine copy of Born in the USA and cleaned it. Looked at both sides under the light. Perfect. No surface marks. Put it back on the double matrix. Moved the anti static arm into place and let the unit do 1 revolution. Moved the anti static arm back and removed the record. It appears that the movement of dragging the arm across the record has now scratched the surface of the record.
Unbelievable!!! The arm should separate like the cleaner arm so this doesn't happen.
Anyone else notice this?
