Took that ride to Vestal and Mike at Audio Classics had everything set up and ready for a listen.

A C1100 with a 275 amp and Focus SE speakers. Then switched to a C2500. As good as the 2500 is, the 1100 was a cleaner, more separated, clearer and less distorted sound.

While we were there, the hypothetical amp upgrade was discussed.
Knowing the type of "sound voicing" we prefer, the 1.2/1.25 series were the recommendation. Had a listen to the 1.25's. Lots of authority and more "sweet" in the mids and highs than other solid state. But, for my wallet, I'll stay with the 75/275 set up (for now anyway).

So it is going to be a good few days before all is set up. The temporary shelf made from scrape wood on the right will be replaced and the CD's are going to be boxed up. Yea, the BDP3 is "that good."
