I originally started this thread in the Mcintosh forum under T.V. cover, however
I thought it might be more appropriate here. Since making the cover I added
four 16"x24" diffusers under the T.V. I purchased these on E-Bay for around a
$120 dollars. They are styrofoam. At first I was not to impressed with the
quality but they come primed and paint well. Also, because they are so light, they
install easily. They made a huge difference. I also finally got my ASC tube traps
which tightened up the bass and also helped defined the midrange. Over the last
couple of months I have also upgraded plugs and interconnects. I topped of the year with a Bryston Bit20 power supply courtesy of Ivan.
All of these tweaks have resulted in a much improved overall sound. If I had to say what the biggest change is, it is in the consistency of overall sound. It sounds good with almost any recording not just the "audiophile" favorites. It has been
a great year getting back into music and I am grateful to have jumped back in.
