Sorry fans, the unit does not have ROON.
Not a very clean backside - too many inputs left over from the old analogue world. HDMI and balanced outs are all that is needed in the digital environment.
Knew McIntosh was about to release the 170 and got a preview of the unit - decided to go with the Trinnov Altitude 16 which does have Roon and a much better organized backside and front.
Excellent 4K UHD players can be had quite reasonably. There are no incentives for the high end manufactures to build them.
