I would like to buy a digital XLR Platinum Starlight PSA1.0 for connecting my Bryston BDP-2 and Meitner MA1-v2 DAC. I am not sure if I should buy a new 8 version or used 7 cable for about half the new price.
According to the info on the WW website states about the difference between 7 and 8 version: "Greater soundstage separation, detail resolution and bass impact".
How substantial is the difference in SQ of the PSA1.0 digital XLR between the old 7 and new 8 version?
