Thanks for posting. My wife does the same thing - she thought there was only one "Chippy" at our house until she saw 8 of them in our screened in porch, feasting on a bag of almonds!
She now buys them organic nuts and seeds to feed them. Kinda crazy in my book but she doesn't say anything about my high-priced cables! 
Chipmunks seem to be less afraid of humans and we can get very close to them before they run away. We have yet to have one get as close as your Chippy!
