I did some research on both but I can't get over their looks...a bit too 'boxy' perhaps?
I have made a small list but I haven't heard any of those yet. It also depends a bit on what's for sale at the moment since I don't want to buy new.
- SF GH or the Palladio, have also seen the Olympica 1 but I don't thing these play in the same league
- B&W 802D2/D3. Have heard the D2's when I bought the E-600, pretty decent
- Dynaudio C1 seem to get rave reviews, not sure how they compare to Special 40's.
