must be a better synergy with your Totem speakers, In my experience the AX-5 has a more detailed presentation than the E-600 but slightly less wide soundstage, but I would not class the E-600 as "veiled".
Anyway AX-5 is a great looking/sounding amp, enjoy :-)
Today I pulled the trigger on an Aavik U-300, didn't think I would ever buy a class D amp, but it sounds so good in my system.
