Stephen.......I think if they were directed at the pro audio market the TAD TSM-2201-LR would be an active speaker, most likely biamped, similar to the JBL LSR6328P's I use in the studio.

I use two of the JBL LSR6328P's at the digital work station in the control room, and I use three more in my home theater system for center, right rear and left rear channels. The JBL LSR6328P is an excellent active 2-way monitor.
