I heard the Apheta on a P6 in the Paris show, and it was magical....
Thanks Jérôme. Yes, a VERY happy () P9 owner!

No, I have not tried the Apheta. When I bought the table I grabbed the Dynavector 17D3. I then had an EMT JSD6, which I loved, but was a little steep for my comfort level at the time. Earlier this year, though, I had a lead on the Koetsu - it was used. Price was well within my comfort zone - sub $2. All was well until June, when my 3 year old wanted to play with it and broke the stylus. So it was sent back to Koetsu in Japan for a rebuild. Nearly $2K later it's back and I have about 40 hours on it right now.

For me, I can't imagine much more than this cartridge. But that's not to say I wouldn't try the Apheta or the EMT (again). In fact, I wouldn't mind doing so...

But for now - I'm totally enjoying the music!
