I don't have any info on the T-1200 but the McIntosh MR80 is significantly more sensitive than the T-1100 which requires
37.5 dBf input for 50 dB quieting in stereo.
MR80 needs only
14.7 dBf for the same level of quieting in stereo (50 dB). Of course, this is only as critical as the desired signal is weak.
