My experience has been Bi-wiring sounds slightly better integrated and a bit more spacious.
Have tried both ways on B&W 805S, 805D, Sonus Faber Olympica II and currently SF Guarneri Evolutions.
Tried both ways on each and virtually always prefer bi-wired sound. Just my two cents...
