If I may jump in here... When I had an arm on my Avid (long story...) I used the Stillpoints LPI on it. Yes, it doesn't press the record firmly down onto the platter like the screwdown clamp, but I felt the sound was just as good with either. The Stillpoints LPI was far more convenient on those long, lazy evenings just listening and relaxing. Some LPs gave better bass weight with the screwdown though, so it was still used sometimes!
