Jon.......The full refund part of this deal sounds good. The part about your cuz taking the damaged amp to a service center and paying for repairs with the hope of being reimbursed for that cost sounds like a lot of work. Then the guy wants your cuz to pack and ship the amp back if he doesn't want it after repaired. That's BS.
I'd wait for my refund, then pack the amp back the same way he found it and tell the owner to do a UPS pick up at his expense, then ship the whole mess back to him where he can get it repaired. There's no way I would want that integrated amp, even repaired. Why should your cuz get roped into all of that because some idiot shipped a McIntosh amp without the proper factory double boxes?
