Julian.......There are plenty of wonderful and relatively inexpensive wristwatches to choose from. Many of them actually keep better time and are more reliable than the over the top offerings from the prestige companies. Sure, the ubber panache is absent from the mainstream watches but if that isn't a thing of importance, the selection of fine timepieces is enormous.
I particularly fancy the Seiko Coutura Solar watch, model SSC198. I may have to bring one home.
