Doggiehowser - thanks, a little DIY shelf with quality wood to build a resting platform above the K03 for the laptop sounds nice regardless of what full solution I go with...as a good close placement of the Macbook to the DAC. Thanks for this wall mount link as well, that thing holds more weight than I ever would have guessed!
