I think all on AA should read and pay attention to your points because I believe there to be a middle ground where most in our wonderful hobby wish to reside. You help us to achieve that middle ground and save us a lot of money that could be better spent.

Acoustical treatment should always come first. It's like building a home for a family. A welcoming environment for the gear to fully open up and shine to its best potential. No point of having fancy cables and fancy gear if the room kills the great sound.
To me that has always been the best money spent on audio. More so than gear itself except the speakers which are the most important purchase for the room.
