As for your comment above regarding 'quartz', my Great Grandfathers 1888 Waltham Appleton Tracy still keeps excellent time, with it's original movement, lets see one of your quartz movements do that after 130 years !
My "residence" has not changed one bit. I can still indulge in pretty much any luxury I want thank you. The point I was making is that I also had my phase of the "appreciation" of the Swiss manufacturing and in retrospect perhaps got carried away into a small obsession by it but no longer am interested in such rather pointless pursuits. I think your Grandfather would be puking at the greed of the Swiss today.
