I prefer Amarra over Audirvana, though if you want DSD playback you'll have to use Audirvana, as Amarra does not have it (yet?).
Make sure you use different types of cables between components in your computer setup. For example, I use External HDDs---> Firewire---> Mac Mini---> USB Converter---> AES/EBU (or coaxial)---> DAC.
