Having spent most of my career in private equity backed companies, I'm going to respectfully disagree. Following up on IVV's points about legacy--they are not about to change the specs, materials, build on any of their audiophile products. From a pure business perspective, that would be insane--the sound difference would be apparent immediately, brand value would collapse. Maybe we have to wait longer for D4? Maybe they push more mass market stuff that isn't so good?
I have 3 pairs from B&W, and would buy a 4th without hesitation
