The German prices are high and remain high, because it seems that the distributor officially does not repair the Accuphase machines from other European distributors. That's why on the most popular European hifi second hand website the German prices are much higher.
And German audiophiles do not necessarily want a machine from Poland or Romania.
However, all these countries are in the European Union, and another company, called Volkswagen, lost in court, because the Germany dealers did not want to repair the cars imported (distributed) by non-German distributors. But they have to!
A Volkswagen built in Spain, but sold in Italy, has no warranty in Germany?
I would be interested to see what the European law says here for Accuphase. It is not normal that the same machine costs 20% more, just because it is from the German distributor...?
