I have a favorite artist but have a really hard time picking a favorite.
Canaletto was a 1700s View Painter mainly working in Venice but also London for a time. I first fell in love with his work while in the National Gallery in London. I could stand there all day looking at the amazing detail in his paintings.
I just saw a news article last week where they uncovered one of his works in a basement storage area in Denver Art Museum

This may be my fav because of the location in London.
