Howie, FWIW, I can vouch for the Cortese with Kensingtons and later on this week for Cortese with Canterbury which are much closer to Westminsters. I have not had a chance to audition Lafon GM70 but have heard nothing but praise for it. I suspect the combo you have in mind would be out of this world.
Westminsters are 99dB efficient!
People who have heard the Lamm ML3, also GM70 (32w) at $130k! Seem to be ecstatic with Wilson combination and the big Wilsons are not nearly as efficient. Then again the Lamm is running at 32w and you are supposed to change the tubes every 18 months. The Shindo amp puts out 20w but most likely will last for many, many years as Ken Shindo designs his gear to be very easy on the often very hard to find tubes.
