I am happy to share my experience. I, too, went with the D-07x based on Esoteric's reputation for quality, AA comments about it and other DACs. I have been very pleased. I really enjoy the audio quality of hi-rez downloadable music (I do not play vinyl).
I use a Mac mini, WW platinum starlight to BUC-1 and WW gold starlight digital AES to my multi-channel processor. I built it up over a year and found that each component added to increasing resolution and definition of the music (it is sublime). Also, my system is geared for HT, so if I ever build a special 2-channel system the D-07x moves to it and it's true potential will really be appreciated.
