birdland, no doubt your room anomalies have an effect on your soundstage. As for your new(to you) pre not being 'burned in' after 200 hrs, I think your trying to put way too much audiofool logic into that one.
You have obviously detected a difference between the two pre's and appears initially your mind (not your ears) is telling you something ...........
