the aryl hood is 5 mm thick. Sorry, i was wrong concerning the price. According to the Clearaudio online shop the cover costs 480 Euros. I paid 400 Euros and picked it up from Clearaudio myself. Here are some pictures:
You might get it cheaper if you have someone build you this custom hood in your country
