I read somewhere that you could adjust the spikes so that the front and back sets are longer or shorter. Thus, you adjust where the tweeter is pointing. I've adjusted the spikes on my Sig8s so that they are tilted forward. There was a noticeable change in soundstaging with pianos, guitars and violins appearing to be more 'in the room'. Frankly, I was sceptical about whether these adjustments would mean anything. Since making the adjustment, I've learned a little more about 'on axis" and "off axis" sound. In my normal sitting position, the tweeter is pointed over my head. In the tilted position, it's pointed St my head. But frankly, I don't find the difference to be particularly material.
