I think RaceTripper is going for the MC Talisman V2, so maybe he did compare that to the Maestro or has a preference for MC and a suitably symbiotic phono stage to handle loading etc.

I was going to get the Maestro (which I have not heard), but decided to step up another $500 to the Talisman v2 (which I have heard). I am using Musical Surrounding's Nova Phonomena which has the most loading options I've seen on a phono stage. The Talisman v2 is optimal with 400-500 ohms loading, which the Phonomena supports.
I have heard nothing but good things about the Maestro, but I have not listened to it.
