Default Ripping Vinyl to make a CD

I have some LPs that I would like to make into CDs.

I would like the CD to be a 16 bit 44.1 kHz recording. PCM or AIFF or other high quality conversion is preferred.

I am ignorant of what is necessary to do this.

What hardware and/or software do I need in addition to my turntable and McIntosh preamps to do this?

I am certain there are very costly methods to accomplish this, but I would like to do this on a shoestring budget if possible.

Thank you very much for your help.
