I had both the Aries Mini and the Node 2 in-house at the same time intending to only keep one. The Mini beat it to me handily in sound and software. The only thing it doesn't do and probably never will is MQA. The owner and founder of Auralic was in fact one of the original member of the group but he and MQA's leader had a falling out over implementation and he left the group. Auralic has there own algorithm that accomplishes much the same thing. I can not honestly tell the difference between their version and the "Official" version implemented on the Lumin.
