Ivan.......You may be game, but not me. I read the info on the Ayre site. The Ayre CD sounds like so much irrational hooey. Play a test tone through your system and miraculously everything gets cleaner. Sure it does. I would probably be willing to try it, but only if the disc were loaned to me. I don't see myself running to an Ayre dealer to buy one.

The Millennium M-CD Mat for $119.00 doesn't exactly trigger my Buy It Now button, either. It's a thin piece of carbon fiber mat placed on top of your CD before the drawer closes. Oh, really. There isn't a transport out there that's designed to spin two disc at the same time at a speed of 200 to 500 RPM, not to mention the added wear and tear on the transport motor dealing with the added weight of an additional disc that is likely unbalanced. And what happens to transports that use clamping mechanisms when that carbon fiber disc is placed on top of a compact disc, or slot loading CD players. No thanks. That's definitely a tweak I can live without.
