What i've been doing the last few years has been finding used speakers I can resell without risk of serious financial loss and spending several months with them and for the most part while all the speakers have been enjoyable none have stepped up yet although my current ones sound like they're going to be keepers time will tell.
Long term listening has given me a better understanding of whats going on in my system and whats to blame on my room vs the speakers. Like you i'm married to my amp an H360 and my speakers will have to play nice with it, we gotta draw a line somewhere right?
