My first Accuphase purchase (which I just recently made) has been quite a journey by itself...
It all started after I had a chance to listen to a C-3800 + A-65 combo at a local dealer's demo a few months ago. The experience with this combo was simply breath-taking, everything was so real and alive, never heard anything like this before. Of course when I saw the price tag - $$$ I realized the only sane thing to do would be to start with something smaller and more "reasonable".
So I started by looking at the E-360 integrated, but then quickly started to lean towards the bigger brother - the E-470. But the remarkable experience with the pre+power set kept haunting my dreams, so after a while I decided to check the possibility of getting a C-2120 + A-46 and spoke to my dealer for a while about it. I almost pulled the trigger on that set when my dealer updated me about an opportunity to get a barely used A-65 instead of the A-46 at a great price.
So right now I am waiting for the shipment of my newly purchased C-2120 + A-65
