Interesting Jim. I am not into series at all. And I do not like violence in movies.
I never watched any episode of "GOT".
My wife's best friend is 54. She is a MD in Paris, highly focused on Zen and Eastern cultures. Really not the kind of person attracted to violence and so on. And the funny thing is that she discovered GOT with her children and became completely addicted to it ! She urged us to watch it.
So reading your impression made me very curious to try it ! Maybe that our friend has a second hidden personality !
