Ah, makes sense why the 807 didn't overheat your amp like mine.
I have the Fire-bottle with full pentode wiring. Not sure if Pentode operation needs more bias then running in SET, but something is making the SET run cooler. I wouldn't recommend anybody running 807 in their pentode wired amps based on my experience. Even before 807 blew my fuse, the amp ran
considerably hotter with 807 than kt88.
