Not for communist countries. NO.
It has changed since the days of yellow journalism came to be here. News used to be much less opinionated as far as I recall. It is rather clear, at least to me, that the bias hooks are set much deeper as the news is now not only reporting on the news but does the thinking for us. At least that's my opinion on it. Even the nightly entertainment is no longer a comedy but a constant reminder of where your allegiance should be.
I'm saying that without any political inclinations as we all know it spans both sides.
