First, you may be able to install a board that will extract the DSD from an Oppo player, convert it to PCM, and send it out via a coax connection to your DAC, or if you like to your computer for recording. For a while there was a link to this board at

As far as I know the actual SACD's are copy protected and can't be ripped in DSD. It is possible to make original recordings in DSD though. Vinyl could be archived in DSD. See, as an example, :

Lastly you can use a good sound card or A/D converter to record the analog which in theory should be superior to the 16/44.1 ripped CD. I have done this with 85 SACD's that I owned when I switch to a PC based server.
