I'd keep my main system also and use the Heresy's for a different sound now and then. I've got Magnepan 3.7's with a pair of Vandersteen 2Wq subs, and a Sanders Magtech amp. The Heresy's would fit between the Maggies and be about 7 feet apart center to center. I'd use the subs with them as well. What do folks on this forum think?
Bit dated in my response, but had a pair of Heresy IIIs that I used with a pair of McIntosh MC75 reissue amps and a C2200. I tried them on the floor and also on stands and they just didn't do it for me. Not like they were bad, but I couldn't get them to be "involving" in my set-up at the time. That said, my brother's pair of Forte IIs being driven by his Luxman receiver are just terrific. Am thinking that either the Forte III or Cornwall III (too large physically?) might be just the ticket. Will have to find a place to audition them when the time comes.
