That thing was unbelievable for me. It would jump tracks by finding the blank in the tape, it had a remote control and it was extra slim. I loved it and I believe it still lies in the drawer somewhere.

Then I upgraded to this


when you had this, you were the king. It had a LCD, you could record your CD with the optical in...

Finally, before entering the iPod fold, I bought this one


The very first mp3 player. You had 32mb of memory which you could double with a flash card. You would upload the song using the parallel port on your computer. The song you encoded in the crappiest format to make an album fit or downloaded with Napster over the 56k connection (it took almost over an hour to download 30mb).
