My son hit hit a button on the front of my C2300 which caused it to spontaneously turn off (I think it was near the tone bypass button). Now none of the front buttons or knobs work except for one strange behavior which I'll explain in a minute.

Luckily, the unit is still fully functional via the remote so I was able to turn it back on that way. The buttons and knobs still don't work, however.

My first thought was that something shorted in the control circuitry, however there is one strange behavior that has me hopeful something else is going on. When I turn the volume knob, the screen will change to say "VOLUME- UP" or "VOLUME- DOWN" (the volume still doesn't change). It seems strange to me that the behavior has change.

Anyone have any clue what's going on? Is there anyway to completely reset the unit?
