Unless of course those other speakers were tipped up in the top end to give the impression of greater transparency.
Problem is that it is really hard to tell.
All you can do is trust your ears and get whatever you like most, after a long home audition preferably. Having said that, the only component that i didn't extensively home demo before buying was......my Vivids.
