Well my Good-Man in my case I have owned more than my fair share of performance cars since back in the mid 60's.
Like M-Series BMW's, AMG Mercedes, S-Series Audi's, Turbo Porsche, and of course a great many domestic performance cars.


We also as you saw did purchase a new 2017 VW Golf R for Cathy that replaced her MCS she had.































In my case I replaced my new 2017 Challenger Hellcat with the Audi RS-3.


I can say that the GOLF R is just as much fun as the RS-3 in normal driving situations.
The difference is when you pass speeds of plus 80 MPH-Up.
The Golf R runs out of steam but the RS-3 is accelerating like a Stem-Roller.


The RS-3 loaded-up to me is expensive for sure.
Like $70K US dollars out the door.
That's a lot of monies for really a Sub-Compact Sedan ......
