From various emails exchanged with Stillpoints. Unedited.

"...There are two ways to implement the Ultra SS with your B&W loudspeakers.

1.
a. Screw the Adapter tightly into the flat side of the Ultra SS Body (The Larger portion).
b. Screw the adapter into the B&W 802 with the Ultra SS already attached.
c. Level the speakers by screwing the Flat Hard Hat (smaller beveled section) up or down.
d. Remember to leave at least a business card thickness between the Ultra SS Body and the speakers. And at least a business card thickness, or more, between the Flat Hard Hat and the Ultra SS Body (for leveling)

2.
a. Take the Flat Hard Hat, and set screw off.
b.Tighten the adapter into the Ultra SS Pad, which is exposed when removing the Flat Hard Hat and set screw.
c. Screw the other end of the adapter into the bottom of the speaker and make adjustments to level.
d. The Ultra SS body should be as close to the 802s bottom as possible, while maintaining level of both speakers.
Depending on the floor interaction, one way will work better than the other. It will be noticeable. Remember that leveling is critical for both speakers.

When setting down the loudspeakers, with the Ultra SSs attached, be careful not to drop the speaker straight down. The technology inside can withstand a lot of weight, but the technology inside can shear if there is a drop with that amount of weight.

The reason for not having the speaker touch the Ultra SS, is to allow for the quickest evacuation of resonances from the loudspeaker into the technology pocket. Same goes for the Flat Hard Hat, when it is used...."

"...Ultra Base, connected to Ultra SS Body. Take off Flat Hard Hat and set screw. Attach adapter snug to Pad. Screw into bottom of 802s and level by turning the Ultra Base. Hold on to the Ultra SS Body while turning the Ultra Base to leave that small gap between the Pad and the 802 bottom...."
