Jacques, I'm very glad the Hammer's have worked for you. The Hammer has very little downside other than its size. It will really produce subsonics and at the same time it is an amazingly good "woofer". It was designed to work with an XLF so it has to be very efficient and quick. When I was seriously looking into an XLF I kept asking myself the question: In my room what more would I be getting? I don't think my bass would be substantially better so the main difference would be in the mids and highs. I have heard the Alexias and while I was mightily impressed I did not leave wishing I owned them for their mids and highs as opposed to my MAXX's. I would imagine the XLF to be similar to the Alexia in my room which is smallish. In a larger room of course there would be no contest. So again, congrats. You have a lovely system.
