I have previously cleaned some not-too-pricey power cords with Flitz and heard improvements. A good example is the captive power cord on the Monster PowerCenter that powers a modest home theater system. A surprising amount of tarnish came off using Flitz.

Another good use of Flitz is to clean the wires that feed AC outlets (after killing the AC circuit first, obviously). This is a safe one to try to see if it's worth using this stuff.

I have yet to be brave enough to try Flitz on expensive cords - like my Shunyata cords. I'm hoping someone else can weigh in on that move. I instead use Deoxit to clean these occasionally.
