The only thing that I can isolate for the hum is the phono stage output gain. The hum is not present with another preamp. I wonder if there is an impedance issue?

Speaking with Dennis yesterday he mentioned he suspected your hum may be due to proximity of the transformers and their electromagnetic fields. He suggested, while music is playing, pick up phono pre and move around. He suspected the hum will disappear with a shift of a few inches one way or another side to side/front to back. At least that is the way I understood it all.
