Sorry James, but I was born in '54 and while I still have memories of the '50s, I don't think folks born afterwards have missed a thing because music, as well as fidelity, got much better thereafter. I am sure you are lamenting, as I do sometimes, about getting older. But that fate will happen even for the young as time waits for no one.
By the way, I still don't embrace room correction for reasons you articulated years ago.
