And yes, the cantilever apparently got hung up on the outer plastic body of the scope and I didn't notice it until it was too late. I was focusing on the image on the monitor and didn't see I had clipped the edge of the scope.

So sorry Freddie, yes a death blow by some magnifying device seems to be the number 1 killers of carts.
To me this is the primary benefit of the Smartractor as it comes with a "built in" magnifier that is a safe distance away.
