Finished James D. Hornfischer's "Neptune's Inferno", which was excellent. Again, makes one wonder how either side won most wars, the leadership was so bad (Halsey should have been cashiered at least three times - kept for political reasons). Now reading a little covered portion of the Pacific war, Stephen R. Taaffe's "MacArthur's Jungle War". Learning quite a bit.

Excellent book by one of my favorite authors (The Zimmerman Telegram, The Guns of August, March of Folly, etc.).
Have Will & Ariel Durant's complete "The Story of Civilization" in hardback waiting for us to figure out our relocation.
