Call, don't write... Chuck Hinton may have a firmware update that fixes your very problem! I had a bizarre problem with my MR-88 tuner (I described it in a post here:
https://www.audioaficionado.org/showthread.php?t=42860 . There was no advertisement of any firmware upgrades and no knowledge of any firmware upgrades at any dealers. However, a simple call to Chuck revealed that there was indeed a "silent" firmware upgrade which fixed my problem completely.
There may be one for your problems as well.... Call Chuck...
